I always encourage others to do their own research in terms of essential oil safety, it is important to ensure you are getting information from sources that take essential oil safety seriously. The Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA)
Helps to establish and maintain advanced education standards in regard to the aromatherapy practice.

Provides a great free introductory course to Aromatherapy, as well as other information & courses you can purchase, depending on what you are into. The School for Aromatic Studies offers both online and in-person courses, so you can choose the course method you prefer.
I completed my Level 1 certification in aromatherapy at the School for Aromatic Studies. I learned a lot of very valuable information on individual essential oils, fatty oils, chemical families, formulating blends. It was presented in a manner that made it easy to understand the course information, and being able to complete the certification on my own time was huge!

Susan is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to fatty oils, lipids and butters. Her website provides some free resources, ebooks and information in her blog. Her book, Power of the Seed is a great addition to any essential oil user’s library.
